Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of telecom equipment in Central Office and Service Provider settings.

• Manage field crews and subcontractors to ensure project completion in a safe, efficient manner that aligns with established procedures.

• Carry out circuit modifications, software upgrades, power transitions, and live network operations with accuracy.

• Conduct quality assurance inspections, technical verifications, and final project reviews.

• Analyze and resolve challenges related to job specifications, wiring diagrams, equipment configurations, and MOPs.

• Keep thorough installation records, as-built documentation, audits, and project reports up to date.

• Foster strong customer relationships through effective on-site communication and technical guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Experience: Over 3 years of experience in telecom installation within Central Office or Service Provider environments.

• Proven proficiency in fiber, copper, coax, DC power systems, BDFB installations, and equipment testing.

• Strong capability to read and interpret MOPs, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts.

• Established leadership experience in directing installation teams, mentoring technicians, and performing QA inspections.

• Familiarity with Telcordia GR-1275, AT&T TP-76300, and telecom safety regulations.

• Readiness and capability to travel nationwide and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
