This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of Nextpower products.
• Offer expertise in tracker control systems for site upgrades, diagnostic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of Nextpower tracking systems and related technologies.
• Oversee commissioning activities, ensuring completion of testing and quality documentation.
• Deliver technical support and product/system expertise to Nextpower clients globally.
• Assist with third-party qualifications for O&M providers.
• Provide support for product development, sales, and marketing as required.
• Manage field testing for prototype and beta product lines.
• Maintain Nextpower’s professional reputation and engage with clients about remediation activities and warranty conditions.
• Serve as an internal advocate for customers within Nextpower.
• Promote safe work practices and take part in incident reporting while identifying potential improvement areas.
• Be prepared for up to 100% travel.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong understanding of Australian WHS regulations, particularly in the construction sector.
• Knowledge of industry-standard safe working systems.
• Experience with JSA and SWMS documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service management skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with remote access and VPN technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of wireless technologies.
• Solid understanding and experience with Ethernet networks and IP-enabled devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in standard business software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Skilled in the safe use of hand tools such as laser levels, torque wrenches, grease guns, battery drills, and air compressors.
• Electrical qualifications and experience are preferred but not mandatory.
• A passion for solar or renewable energy is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PV technology and its applications is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with photovoltaic tracking solar systems is advantageous.
• Possession of a Construction Industry White Card.
• Valid unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Current residency in Australia is required.
• Ability to maintain a $2000 balance on a personal debit/credit card for reimbursable travel expenses.
• Availability for up to 100% travel.
• Reimbursement for travel expenses, with the capacity to maintain a $2000 balance on a personal debit/credit card.
• Additional training will be provided.
