Field Service Representative II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced analytical and scientific instruments.

• Provide exceptional field service to clients in research, industrial, and healthcare environments.

• Identify equipment problems down to the component level.

• Address customer requests with minimal notice.

• Train and assist customers in operating equipment.

• Record service activities and generate comprehensive reports.

• Achieve customer satisfaction objectives.

• Operate independently while following safety protocols and maintaining quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced Degree with no prior experience required, or a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of hands-on technical experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex analytical instruments.

• Preferred academic backgrounds include Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.

• Strong skills in electronics and mechanical troubleshooting, particularly at the component level.

• Experience with ultra-high vacuum systems and high-voltage equipment is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer service.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and service management software.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Willingness to travel up to 50–75% within the assigned territory.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various laboratory settings.

• Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Ability to respond promptly to customer needs.

• Experience in documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports.
