Field Service Engineering Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Carry out preventative maintenance, system installations, upgrades, and intricate repairs of IVF laboratory equipment at client locations, ensuring adherence to CooperSurgical service standards.

• Apply strong analytical and technical troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software-related issues in laboratory equipment.

• Ensure that all service activities are documented accurately and reported promptly. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records within the CRM system, including service reports, installation logs, and customer interactions.

• Ensure the calibration and operational readiness of service tools and equipment. Collaborate with relevant internal departments to guarantee that tools remain compliant with calibration and quality standards.

• Collaborate closely with Service Support, Scheduling, and Logistics teams to ensure that necessary spare parts, tools, and documentation are prepared prior to site visits.

• Stay informed about CooperSurgical products and technologies through continuous training and technical updates, ensuring the capability to support newly released or updated equipment.

• Expect approximately 70% or more travel, primarily within France, with occasional international assignments.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in servicing, repairing, or implementing medical devices, laboratory equipment, or biotechnology instruments.

• Completed higher education in electronics, technical fields, mechanics, or engineering.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic test equipment, diagnostic tools, and precision hand tools.

• Experience in hardware installation, equipment configuration, and software setup.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently diagnose complex technical challenges.

• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.

• Fluency in English and French is required; proficiency in additional European languages is highly beneficial.
