Field Service Engineer – Rotating Equipment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• The Field Service Engineer is tasked with carrying out on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair operations for rotating equipment, encompassing motors and generators.

• This position guarantees optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction while complying with safety and quality regulations.

• Operating within a structured framework, the engineer executes both preventive and corrective maintenance, aids in commissioning activities, and provides technical expertise at customer locations.

• Field Service Execution: Conduct installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, and overhauling of rotating equipment.

• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to company standards and procedures.

• Perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to efficiently address technical issues.

• Execute dismantling, inspection, repair, and reassembly of motors and generators.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in field service engineering, ideally involving rotating equipment (motors and generators).

• Practical experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of large electrical machines.

• Strong understanding of motors, generators, and related auxiliary systems.

• Proficient in electrical testing and diagnostic instruments.

• Experience with vibration analysis, alignment, and condition monitoring techniques.

• Familiarity with service management systems and digital reporting tools.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Outstanding communication skills and customer-facing abilities.

• Capability to work independently in remote and challenging settings.

• Strong planning, organizational, and reporting abilities.

• Willingness to travel extensively (90%+), including assignments on short notice.

• Ability to work offshore and on marine vessels for extended periods.

• Flexibility to operate across domestic and international locations.
