Field Service Engineer – Molecular Diagnostics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Perform repair, maintenance, and qualification tasks on in vitro diagnostic equipment.

• Conduct inspections, installations, and commissioning of equipment at customer locations.

• Offer technical assistance to customers through telephone support or remote maintenance.

• Collaborate with the sales team by providing technical knowledge on complex sales-related inquiries.

• Travel throughout Germany and, in rare instances, internationally.

• Assist the central internal repair department as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrical or medical device technician with experience in biotechnology and physical engineering, or possess a comparable degree.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a related position.

• Practical experience with molecular diagnostic instruments in a laboratory environment is highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) and laboratory IT infrastructure.

• Familiarity with CRM/service tools for reporting and task management.

• Competent computer skills with common operating systems.

• Proficiency in both German and English is mandatory.

• Willingness to travel at least 80% of the time.

• A valid Class B driving license is required.
