Field Service Engineer – Digital Technologies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Execute service, repair, and/or installation of products and IT solutions at client locations.

• Identify system malfunctions and determine the most cost-efficient solutions.

• Refer complex issues to higher-level technical support.

• Respond to customer support inquiries within a designated territory.

• Install, maintain, and repair digital pathology equipment.

• Manage service administration and customer communications, serving as a knowledgeable point of contact for clients.

• Collaborate with and assist sales on all technical issues.

• Participate in trade fairs and exhibitions.

• Meet revenue and KPI objectives.

• Contribute to team goals.

• Promptly escalate issues and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Provide feedback to manufacturers to enhance product reliability.

• Timely submit service reports and travel expense claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed technical training, ideally in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or medical technology.

• Initial experience in a service-related role.

• Experience in field service or a related domain, preferably with medical devices.

• Proficient in standard software applications (MS Office, SAP).

• Knowledgeable in IT networking, electronics, and precision mechanics.

• Familiarity with network configuration and setup.

• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtual machines, and SQL.

• Understanding of integration solutions for digital pathology and software installations is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to independently acquire technical knowledge.

• Capability to safely lift and carry up to 25 kg.

• Class B driving license.

• Ability to quickly analyze intricate systems.

• Willingness to travel frequently and flexibility in schedule.

• Professional and confident demeanor when interacting with customers.

• Excellent proficiency in German, both spoken and written.

• Very good proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
