This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Northwest Europe (mainly the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Ireland), as well as other parts of Europe, to install, service, update, and repair Thermo Fisher SUT hardware and automation products.
• Deliver expert technical support and problem-solving for our advanced bioproduction equipment.
• Execute installations, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of high-value analytical instruments.
• Conduct commissioning and qualification of equipment by implementing Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Installation/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) protocols.
• Merge technical expertise with exceptional customer service skills to tackle complex issues and assist our customers in achieving groundbreaking discoveries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer concerns and enhance processes.
• Offer basic product training and technical support on our instrumentation to both customers and the internal sales team.
• Document all activities in the Sales Force Service desk, providing customer feedback to management, as well as hardware and software teams.
• Contribute to revenue optimization and new product development opportunities; assist in demonstrating our products to prospective customers.
• Maintain technical proficiency by participating in training sessions, employee meetings, and staying informed about new products, markets, customers, and competitors.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Biomedical, or a related scientific field) or equivalent qualification.
• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex analytical instruments, especially within the bioproduction sector.
• Strong aptitude for electronics and mechanics, with the capability to diagnose issues down to the component level.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is highly desirable.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems, MS Office, and service management software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and documentation.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50-100% of the time (typically away from home Monday through Friday).
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with bioproduction equipment, particularly Single Use Technology (SUT) hardware and automation products.
• Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency service requests.
• Must be able to obtain the necessary credentials to access customer facilities.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with the capacity to work independently in the field.
