Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional service and support for our product offerings.

• Guarantee successful installation, system integration, validation, scheduled maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair of systems and associated software.

• Offer prompt technical support to customers and team members, including remote assistance and cross-functional technical investigations.

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) visits within the required timeframes.

• Complete service reports in Service CRM, ensuring they are thoroughly and accurately filled out.

• Keep precise records of spare parts, ensuring proper usage and assisting with spare part stock checks and reconciliations.

• Update instruments located at customer laboratories with necessary software and data management upgrades.

• Provide insights to global product teams regarding instrument reliability and quality.

• Facilitate training sessions on installation and maintenance for end-users.

• Conduct preliminary visits to laboratories to agree on the placement of instrumentation, verify the correct installation site, and assess the need for any hydraulic, electrical, or logistical work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated experience in a scientific or engineering environment (e.g., clinical/research laboratories, electronics, biotechnology, medical devices).

• Proven IT skills for managing laboratory middleware.

• Strong technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

• Customer-oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in both English and Italian, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to travel on short notice and occasionally work during weekends or unsociable hours (75 – 85% of working time in the field).

• A valid driving license.
