This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Deliver exceptional technical support to Alcon customers as well as the sales and marketing teams.
• Oversee a designated territory, focusing on technical aspects, customer satisfaction, and service for New Zealand's South Island.
• Execute new equipment installations in collaboration with customers and the sales team.
• Conduct repairs and planned maintenance while ensuring timely documentation submission, meticulous attention to detail, and thorough consultation with customers.
• Offer assistance to sales and marketing colleagues whenever necessary.
• Proactively promote and sell Alcon Service Agreements.
• Comprehend and comply with all quality standards and ISO regulations.
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience in a customer-facing service engineer position within a medical technology organization.
• At least a Certificate 3 in an electronics-related discipline.
• Preferably possess Biomedical Engineering qualifications.
• A current New Zealand Electrical Licence is mandatory for this position.
• Experience with ophthalmic equipment is highly preferred.
• Proficient PC literacy is required.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
• Familiarity with electronic testing instruments (such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, laser/energy meters, and pressure/vacuum meters) is necessary.
