Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accountable for assisting customers through on-site tasks, which include the installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of Agilent GCMS and multi-vendor system solutions.

• Installs and enhances hardware, software, and network configurations for GCMS products at customer locations.

• Identifies and resolves performance issues related to GCMS products.

• Conducts maintenance and repair services.

• Guarantees customer satisfaction by offering advice on preventive maintenance and configurations that could affect product performance.

• Takes proactive measures to address potential equipment or software problems to avert unexpected disruptions to clients' operations.

• Provides fully integrated solutions, which may encompass peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.

• Acts as an internal expert on technical matters and manages product escalations.

• Works collaboratively with Agilent teams, including Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D, to deliver solutions to clients.

• May conduct internal technical training and maintenance seminars and workshops for field engineers or clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Instrumentation, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Life Science, or a related field.

• Relevant foundational and theoretical knowledge of analytical instruments, such as GCMS.

• Generally, a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience required for entry to this level.

• Exceptional numerical, verbal, and written communication skills, along with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation abilities.
