Field Service Engineer – After-Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Prepare for installations by reviewing the technical specifications of the system and verifying the necessary internal and client-side technical and hardware requirements to ensure timely completion.

• Conduct on-site system installations and deliver client onboarding training to commission equipment following the specifications.

• Execute regular and/or preventive maintenance as per the established protocol for the relevant system to fulfill compliance or contractual obligations.

• Identify and rectify system malfunctions either on-site or through remote access to restore operational functionality.

• Maintain consistent follow-up and nurture a high-quality relationship with clients to support long-term commercial partnerships.

• Draft external and internal activity reports and record work in the designated service management software to ensure traceability and accurate cost allocation.

• Serve as the intermediary between factory experts and clients to address complex technical challenges.

• Assist in preparing quotes and technical estimates for systems within the installed base to guarantee compatibility and feasibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• A qualification in electronics, engineering, or a related industrial discipline.

• Preferred experience in analytical instrumentation (for instance, elemental analysis for quality and process control or materials research).

• Valued experience in the repair of capital equipment.

• Experience in After-Sales Service for X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF/WDXRF) or X-ray Diffraction (XRD) systems is advantageous.

• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level required).

• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently.

• Effective listening skills and sound decision-making capabilities.
