Field Medical Director, Radiation Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Physician match reviewer for Radiation Oncology and imaging cases.

• Engages in discussions regarding determinations (peer-to-peer phone calls) with requesting physicians or ordering providers.

• Applies medical and clinical review guidelines and parameters to ensure uniformity in the MD review process.

• Supports and serves as a resource for Initial Clinical Reviewers.

• Guarantees that all communications with medical office staff and/or MD providers are documented accurately and promptly.

• Involved in ongoing training as part of the inter-rater reliability process.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS degree.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in medical practice post-residency.

• Preferred active clinical practice within the past two years.

• Current, unrestricted clinical license in medicine or the required specialty.

• Active Board Certification in Radiation Oncology.

• Strong skills in clinical management, communication, and organization.

• Energetic and inquisitive, with a commitment to quality and value in healthcare.

• Proficient in computer use.

• No record of significant disciplinary or legal actions from a state medical board.
