This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the main clinical/scientific resource for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Health Care Practitioners (HCPs) within a designated geographic area, providing essential information about disease states and ImmunityBio’s products and pipeline to enhance their awareness and understanding.
• Act as a bridge for precise and current clinical, scientific, and medical information between KOLs, investigators, and the company's Medical Affairs and Clinical Development teams.
• Build, nurture, and sustain professional relationships with KOLs and HCPs in the therapeutic fields relevant to ImmunityBio’s current and future interests.
• Share expertise and engage in scientific discussions and exchanges with designated KOLs.
• Provide timely, accurate, and concise clinical and scientific presentations to KOLs and HCPs, both proactively and in response to informational requests, in accordance with promotional compliance, PhRMA guidelines, and FDA regulations.
• Collect and relay critical scientific, clinical, and research insights from KOLs and HCPs to Medical Affairs for dissemination to key internal stakeholders.
• Address unsolicited medical information inquiries in the field.
• Adhere to pharmacovigilance responsibilities as outlined by ImmunityBio SOPs regarding medical inquiries and drug safety data.
• Collaborate with the manager to create and execute the medical territory plan for the assigned geography.
• Lead special initiatives including the development of training materials, mentoring MSLs, creating advisory board materials, and facilitating or moderating advisory board sessions.
• An advanced medical/scientific/clinical degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, and PA preferred) with experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related healthcare sector is required.
• A terminal doctoral degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, or PhD) in medical or health sciences or a comparable qualification is strongly preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant therapeutic area expertise in a scientific or clinical environment, specifically in oncology, immunology, or other areas pertinent to ImmunityBio’s products and/or pipeline is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical/medical science liaison or a similar field-facing role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors is preferred.
• Experience with solid tumors is preferred, while GU and Lung experience is strongly preferred.
• Clinical trial experience is necessary.
• A valid driver's license must be held and maintained.
• Familiarity with treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation abilities are required.
• The ability to network and collaborate with key external clients, including medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, and pharmacy directors is essential.
• Demonstrated capability and experience in cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to anticipate, organize, plan, and manage multiple changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently is essential.
• Proficient communication skills at all organizational levels are required.
• Strong business acumen is demonstrated.
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical information and data is necessary.
• Critical thinking skills are required to optimize strategic initiatives and decision-making.
• Operational proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is required.
• Experience with software tracking/logging systems, such as customer relationship management systems and insights capturing systems, is essential.
