This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Tailor program components to address the specific needs of assigned prescribing physicians.
• Assess patient status and assist physicians with patient enrollment and payer documentation.
• Recognize coverage challenges and relay them to the Program Manager.
• Cultivate relationships with physicians and office staff while providing administrative support.
• Deliver training to physicians and clinics on programs and sanctioned initiatives.
• Act as a liaison with physicians and share feedback with the Program Manager.
• Complete necessary reports, including program, expense, timesheet, mileage, and others.
• Greet patients and collect essential information.
• Offer reimbursement guidance and coordinate activities related to public and private coverage.
• Monitor patient services to facilitate prompt access to therapy.
• Navigate financial aid, pharmacy selection, drug delivery, and therapy coordination.
• Direct clinical inquiries beyond program materials to healthcare providers.
• Report adverse events in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Assist in training new Field Case Managers and provide support to colleagues.
• Engage in physician meetings and continuing medical education events.
• Present in-service information to physicians alongside Pharmaceutical Representatives.
• Maintain communication with program, physician, client, patient, and nursing stakeholders.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities and participate in standby/on-call coverage as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field, or a nursing diploma.
• Active registration as a Licensed Nurse (RN or RPN/LPN) from the College of Nurses in the province of employment is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, insurance, or a related field.
• Case management experience is preferred.
• At least three (3) years of nursing experience in a clinic setting is an asset.
• Must be available to travel within an assigned territory; occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
• Valid driver’s license, a current auto insurance policy, and reliable transportation for regional travel.
• Experience in various therapeutic areas is advantageous.
• Background in pharmaceutical business administration, sales, and marketing is beneficial.
• Knowledge of private and public reimbursement structures, systems, and processes is essential.
• Experience with reimbursement navigation, special authorization, appeals, and field-based reimbursement support and consultation.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret regulations and legislation.
• Fluency in both French and English is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) may be required based on the program’s therapeutic area.
