This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.
• Assist the commercial field sales team with LC-MS instrumentation, emphasizing small molecule mass spectrometry for pharmaceutical or environmental purposes.
• Offer pre- and post-sales technical knowledge across various technology platforms.
• Perform product demonstrations and customer training either virtually, remotely, in customer laboratories, or at onsite training facilities.
• Tailor applications and methodologies in collaboration with customers and internal teams, including troubleshooting, method development, and data analysis.
• Gather and assess data from customer experiments or field trials utilizing statistical methods and provide actionable recommendations.
• Address or escalate customer inquiries and complaints as necessary.
• Present technical information that clarifies solution capabilities and advantages.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, R&D, product management, service teams, and engineers.
• Remain updated on scientific literature, methodologies, and regulatory standards.
• Offer scientific support and guidance to internal teams and clients.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and foster customer relationships to enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and business growth.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–3 years of practical technical experience with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments, software, data analysis, and techniques.
• Familiarity with quantitative LCMS workflows, including Pharma QA/QC labs or US EPA methods.
• Experience with related sample preparation methods.
• Capability to work independently, manage multiple projects at once, and adhere to deadlines.
• Exceptional teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a knack for troubleshooting technical challenges and providing product guidance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and a solid work ethic.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Extensive customer interaction required.
• Must be capable of handling hazardous/toxic materials.
