Fabric Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and enhance enterprise-level data solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to provide scalable and governed analytics solutions.

• Guide junior engineers and advance engineering best practices.

• Engage in modernizing data platforms and contribute to enterprise analytics initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in Data Engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including at least one production implementation.

• Design and implementation of Lakehouse architectures using Microsoft Fabric, encompassing OneLake, Delta tables, and Medallion architecture.

• Experience in developing Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks (PySpark / SQL), and Pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.

• Proficiency in creating end-to-end data pipelines using Data Factory (Fabric), Spark notebooks, and streaming workloads.

• Advanced/Expert level SQL and experience with PySpark / Spark SQL.

• Design high-performance data pipelines for both batch and real-time workloads.

• Development of semantic models and governed datasets to facilitate enterprise analytics.

• Collaborate with Power BI developers to create DAX measures, relationships, and optimized data models.

• Implement Git integration and deployment pipelines for Fabric workloads.

• Familiarity with Eventstream, Real-Time Hub, or KQL is a plus.

• Experience in establishing data governance frameworks, lineage, cataloging, and metadata management using tools like Purview is advantageous.

• Proficient in English (required).

• Strong collaborative experience working with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, BI Engineers, Domain Owners, and Business Stakeholders.

• Capability to mentor junior engineers and enhance engineering best practices.

• Experience supporting modern data platform initiatives and contributing to Centers of Excellence, reusable frameworks, and architectural standards is a plus.

• Familiarity with the Azure Data Platform ecosystem (ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) is desirable.
