This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Morocco.
• As a skilled Cloud Engineer, you will be an integral part of an agile project team, engaging with all aspects of system infrastructure.
• Your role will encompass everything from coding to provisioning infrastructure, as well as conducting root cause analyses, all while enjoying the process of learning and building.
• You will also mentor the team in DevOps methodologies and best practices, maintaining close communication with the CEO, COO, and other stakeholders from the client side.
• Over 7 years of experience in the field.
• Proficiency in navigating Linux/Unix systems and identifying root causes of issues.
• A deep understanding of the underlying mechanics of the Internet and web applications.
• Familiarity with metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and all facets of observability.
• Experience with configuration management frameworks like Ansible.
• Proven capability in maintaining applications within a production environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently towards a collective team or company goal.
• A humble disposition, driven by the opportunity to learn from and teach others.
• Comfortable with DevOps methodologies and best practices.
• Significant experience managing AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
• Skills in provisioning resources, configuring networks, ensuring security, optimizing costs, implementing disaster recovery, and automating infrastructure management.
• Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines and managing AWS networking and accounts using GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitLab, and/or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes and Docker, preferably utilizing Helm Charts.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, ideally Terraform or Terragrunt.
• Experienced in monitoring solutions, such as Grafana, Kibana, DataDog, and optionally CloudWatch.
• Skilled in creating and developing CDNs using CloudFront or AKAMAI.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols.
• Proficient in scripting languages for automation tasks, including Bash, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Highly proficient in English.
