Estimator – Material Handling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Assist Pre-Contract and Operations teams in achieving project cost and pricing goals

• Utilize previous experience, data analysis, and metrics to create accurate estimates

• Generate bid comparisons through various analytical tools and data assessment

• Support strategies and relationships with suppliers

• Collaborate with internal teams to select suitable suppliers for bidding

• Prepare RFQ documentation for suppliers and subcontractors

• Manage communications with suppliers and subcontractors during active RFQs

• Oversee the development and presentation of cost models

• Aid in the submission of bid projects and the preparation of customer documents

• Create tools for more efficient estimating processes

• Facilitate review meetings with internal operations teams and leadership

• Ensure organized and precise project documentation

• Collaborate with Applications Engineering and Purchasing to fulfill job bid requirements and scope

⛳️ Requirements

• Eagerness and capability to learn and enhance processes and tools

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with skills to create new forms and tools

• Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience; experience in the Material Handling Industry is preferred

• A college degree is preferred, with a Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering, or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of conveyor installation processes

• Experience in estimating costs for mechanical installations

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
