This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Gathers information and requirements to prepare work effectively, setting priorities accordingly.
• Conducts quantity takeoffs and production estimations.
• Evaluates and interprets construction drawings.
• Develops construction budgets by analyzing plans, updating specifications, and forecasting costs for each elevation.
• Assesses purchase offers by calculating changes, additions, and site requirements.
• Secures bids from vendors and subcontractors by detailing material specifications, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
• Updates cost keys and price masters to maintain accurate information.
• Addresses cost discrepancies by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
• Generates special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Upholds quality service by adhering to organizational standards.
• Ensures continuity among corporate, division, and local teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
• Enhances professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and engaging in professional societies.
• Supports team objectives by achieving related results as necessary.
• Collaborates with Project Management to create proposals.
• Works with Construction Management to establish production rates, scheduling milestones, and job sequences.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience is required; 8+ years is preferred.
• Concrete estimating experience is essential.
• Experience in quality-focused tilt-up and commercial flatwork is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary.
• Excellent budget and documentation skills are required.
• Experience in vendor relationship management is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe is required.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling is essential.
• Ability to develop and lead teams is important.
• Capacity to identify and resolve complex issues, along with strong decision-making skills, is necessary.
• A current driver's license is required.
• Travel is less than 25%; potential travel for meetings and on-site as needed.
• Must pass a physical exam.
• Must be a US Citizen.
