
Enterprise Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• You will provide guidance and manage support inquiries from enterprise clients utilizing the PlanetScale platform.
• You will establish yourself as a subject-matter expert for enterprise clients on the PlanetScale platform.
• You will pinpoint product deficiencies in a customer-specific context and collaborate with the Technical Account Management, Engineering, and Sales Engineering teams to prioritize and escalate these issues.
• You will participate in an on-call rotation to address high-priority concerns.
• Proven experience in supporting production databases and applications, ideally at scale.
• Familiarity with database internals and performance optimization, particularly for PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Exceptional ability to communicate and interact directly with clients, whether through email, Slack, video conferencing, or face-to-face.
