Enterprise Investigative Consultant – Fraud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Proactively manages investigations related to financial crimes, claims, and fraud that involve high complexity.

• Uses independent judgment to develop investigative action plans and strategies for mitigation.

• Keeps detailed documentation and maintains case files, ensuring decision-making processes are recorded through comprehensive reports and after-action reviews.

• Designs and conducts enterprise-level risk assessments utilizing data, advanced technology, and risk assessments.

• Performs investigative analysis by applying appropriate tools such as predictive analytics, trend analysis, FraudShare, evidence collection, and forensic examination.

• Guides junior staff in the effective use of technology and investigative methodologies.

• Leverages expertise to achieve investigative outcomes and consults with specialists on utilizing technology to detect potential fraud and implement necessary actions.

• Enhances operational efficiency and effectiveness by utilizing case management tools, automating processes, and applying machine learning and predictive analytics.

• Provides strategic guidance to the enterprise on fraud risks and mitigation strategies based on investigation outcomes.

• Collaborates with Human Resources, Legal, Information Security, and other stakeholders on both internal and external investigative issues.

• Identifies weaknesses and recommends methods to improve controls.

• Offers feedback and training to enterprise stakeholders regarding fraud prevention and risk mitigation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required, or alternatively, 12 years of investigative experience in law enforcement, military, or related investigative services in lieu of a degree.

• At least 10 years of experience in complex investigations is necessary.

• Preferred experience includes financial crimes, broker/agent, mortgage, or internal investigations.

• Proficient in advanced technology skills, particularly MS Office Suite, and adept at utilizing technology resources for research (e.g., Link Analysis, PingOne Verify, TLO, Accurint, Voice Analytics, and Fraud Share).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.

• Expertise in conducting complex investigations across enterprise environments, utilizing both internal and external contacts along with technology resources to research, investigate, analyze data, and prepare investigation reports.
