Engineering Team Lead – Project & Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Leading and overseeing a software product team that develops products utilizing the Acumatica cloud platform.

• Establishing clear OKRs and career development pathways.

• Promoting a culture that prioritizes psychological safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with continuous learning.

• Collaborating with Product Management to define the backlog and set quarterly objectives.

• Engaging in the elaboration of software requirements.

• Converting epics into actionable user stories and technical specifications.

• Reporting on progress, risks, and trade-offs to executives and customers.

• Defining and monitoring KPIs for the team.

• Leading modern software development life cycle methodologies (Scrum/Kanban + DevSecOps).

• Advocating for test automation across various levels (unit, integration, contract, end-to-end).

• Enforcing design and code reviews, request for comments (RFCs), and architectural decision records.

• Offering technical consulting and investigating issues.

• Managing the entire development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and feasibility assessments to design, coding, and testing.

• Adhering to company standards and engineering processes.

• Monitoring escaped defect rates, mean time to recovery (MTTR), and system availability.

• Analyzing regression rates and customer satisfaction, and taking appropriate actions.

• Coordinating with UX, Technical Documentation, Support, and Customer Success teams.

• Participating in customer advisory sessions and beta programs for new features.

• Overseeing multiple projects and engineering staff to ensure adherence to project timelines.

• Conducting blameless post-mortems, root-cause analyses, and kaizen workshops.

• Objectively assessing team performance and developing team resources.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building business applications using C# / .NET (7+), SQL Server/PostgreSQL.

• At least 2 years of direct people management experience in Agile environments.

• Proven track record of delivering SaaS products at scale.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented and domain-driven design principles.

• Proficient in Git, pull-request workflows, and trunk-based development practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; capable of drafting design documents and executive updates.

• Ability to comprehend and work with existing codebases.

• Experience in developing ERP, CRM, Accounting, or Business systems (is a plus).
