Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical vision for your systems.

• Collaborate with a Technical Product Manager to transform initiatives into actionable projects.

• Conduct the technical review that serves as a decision point for each project.

• Establish and uphold Counterpart's technical standards.

• Write code and develop systems as necessary.

• Guide and mentor engineers within your area of expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and managing complex software systems.

• Capability to function as both an architect and an individual contributor.

• Proven experience in evaluating technical work from fellow engineers.

• Expertise in Python, Django, Amazon Web Services (AWS), React, and PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with AI development tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar).

• Experience in influencing technical direction across teams without holding a managerial role.

• A keen interest in the insurance domain.

• Strong communication skills across engineering, product, and business teams.

• Low ego paired with a high Emotional Quotient (EQ).

• Experience collaborating with distributed and remote teams.
