This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Assist in the design phase and engineer key components for large-scale energy storage initiatives.

• Identify discrepancies in engineering drawings, implement corrective measures, and strive for enhanced design quality and efficiency.

• Address inaccuracies in engineering analyses and propose long-term solutions.

• Develop technical scopes of work for contractual agreements.

• Support projects from inception through completion by collaborating with project managers.

• Influence project teams regarding engineering tasks.

• Remain informed about project advancement and technical challenges.

• Oversee project milestones and identify potential risks.

• Partner with suppliers to incorporate major equipment.

• Collaborate with diverse teams to enhance opportunities and integrate systems and controls.

• Comprehend specifications for major equipment procurement and suggest viable solutions.

• Understand permitting requirements, recommend solutions to legal hurdles, and suggest site design enhancements.

• Travel 25% of the time for project-specific duties.

• 3+ years of experience in Solar/PV Engineering and Construction.

• Proficiency in one or more of the following areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design.

• Knowledge of energy storage technologies, including various battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters.

• Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, and relevant IFC/IBC sections).

• Understanding of IEC 61215, 61646, 61730.
