Energy Market Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the registration process for the wholesale energy market across AGent's targeted markets with meticulous attention to detail.

• Aid in managing the complete lifecycle of MW participation, including data acquisition, offer management, registrations, dispatch operations, and settlement.

• Ensure that program milestones—such as seasonal launches, testing, and validation—are achieved promptly.

• Gather, manage, and analyze performance data related to the market and assets.

• Support load modeling and performance forecasting to enhance asset value.

• Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for the team.

• Develop and monitor KPIs that assess market performance and advancement towards strategic objectives.

• Assist in evaluating and implementing tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

• Contribute to the development of scalable processes across data workflows and responsibilities involving cross-functional stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure that systems are effectively aligned and integrated.

• Provide support to the GTM team with data and market intelligence tools that aid in quantifying and conveying value to prospects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in wholesale energy markets—you possess an understanding of how these markets function and have been involved in them to some degree.

• Familiarity with the registration processes of grid operators and the requirements for MW participation.

• Proficient in Python and SQL—comfortable handling data programmatically.

• Experience with Claude AI or other AI tools in a professional setting, or a demonstrated willingness to learn and incorporate AI into your workflow.

• An analytical and detail-oriented mindset with strong follow-through capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate across different functions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• 1–3 years of experience in the DER or wholesale energy sector.
