This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Provide retro-commissioning services
• Conduct energy audits at public sector facilities
• Offer limited design assistance for various types of properties
• Carry out field inspections of government, commercial, industrial, healthcare, multifamily residential, manufacturing, and institutional properties
• Gather pertinent information for the redesign of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)
• Execute energy benchmarking and cost/benefit analyses
• Engage in energy modeling using eQUEST, TREAT, or similar software
• Experience conducting energy audits (ASHRAE Level I, II, and III)
• Ability to perform energy savings calculations and life cycle cost analysis (LCCA)
• Background in retro-commissioning and ECM Determination
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Knowledge of and experience with various HVAC systems
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards
• Understanding of ICC Building, Mechanical, and Green Energy Codes
• Experience in whole building energy modeling is an advantage
• Strong report writing skills, along with computer and internet proficiency
• Excellent communication and management abilities
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills
• Capability to complete tasks on time and within budget
• Willingness to travel on short notice (1 week or less)
• Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and other vertical support systems for construction inspections
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
