Embedded Security Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Manage the complete lifecycle of both physical and electronic security components within data center and critical infrastructure projects.

• Supervise the quality of technical installations, ensuring system integration precision, proper device placement, panel wiring, and adherence to global standards.

• Assist with site surveys, validate existing conditions, and work alongside local teams to define and document technical specifications.

• Act as the on-site embedded security representative, working in close collaboration with construction, MEP, and infrastructure teams.

• Perform regular on-site evaluations to confirm installation progress, sequencing, and technical adherence.

• Lead the functional testing of ACS, VMS, IDS, intercoms, sensors, physical hardware, and failover behavior.

• Supervise the installation and integration of perimeter fencing, turnstiles, gates, vehicle barriers, crash-rated bollards, and door hardware.

• Create organized site reports that include photographs, risks, deviations, and suggested corrective measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in engineering, security technology, construction management, or a related field; equivalent experience is acceptable.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Lenel OnGuard and Milestone XProtect (mandatory).

• Acquainted with ACS/VMS integrations, intrusion detection systems, intercoms, sensors, and IP-based security frameworks.

• Proven experience in validating functional tests and observing commissioning processes.

• Knowledge of installation techniques (including cabling, containment, device mounting, and infrastructure routing).

• Familiarity with perimeter systems, gates, barriers, turnstiles, and door hardware.

• Understanding of the logical and mechanical integration of physical and electronic systems.

• Background in delivering security systems in data centers, utilities, energy, telecommunications, transport hubs, or other high-availability settings.
