Embedded Linux Field Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture a team of Field Engineers, from recent graduates to experienced professionals, in the fields of Presales and Professional Services.

• Address customer challenges by advocating our technologies and serving as a trusted advisor.

• Operate remotely within a single major time zone.

• Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive career development feedback.

• Identify and assess team health metrics.

• Enforce structured engineering processes.

• Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.

• Advocate for and implement exemplary engineering and organizational practices.

• Strategize and oversee the progress of defined goals and projects.

• Actively participate in the leadership team, collaborating with fellow leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding academic performance in both high school and university.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Significant experience with embedded Linux - particularly Yocto or similar technologies.

• Extensive Linux experience, preferably with Debian or Ubuntu.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.

• Capability to manage a small team effectively.

• Experience in engaging with customers.

• Proficient in written and spoken English at a professional level.

• Strong interpersonal skills, along with curiosity, adaptability, and accountability.

• Results-driven, with a personal commitment to fulfilling obligations.

• Ability to articulate the business advantages of technology.

• A humble learner who quickly grasps new concepts.
