This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Take ownership of email conceptualization, having the final decision on subject lines, preview text, headers, body content, and CTAs for all significant marketing moments at Fresh Prints.
• Collaborate with our brand and creative teams to refine design and copy.
• Create a campaign email content calendar that aligns with the broader marketing calendar, ensuring that emails amplify the appropriate message at the right time.
• Manage A/B testing for subject lines, content strategies, and CTAs, with the discipline to analyze results and implement learnings.
• Craft emails that resonate with a college-aged demographic, producing content that feels personalized rather than generic marketing emails.
• Lead the strategy and content development for Fresh Prints' lifecycle email flows, including welcome series for new subscribers, post-purchase nurturing, cart and browse abandonment, re-engagement, and win-back campaigns.
• Review the existing lifecycle program, identifying gaps, underperforming flows, and customer journey moments where engagement could be improved.
• Write and test enhanced lifecycle email content.
• Develop flows that foster a conversational tone with customers, avoiding a drip sequence approach that feels automated.
• Track deliverability metrics—open rates, click-through rates, unsubscribe rates, spam complaints, and bounce rates—to maintain a strong sender reputation.
• Adhere to email deliverability best practices, including list hygiene, warm-up protocols, engagement segmentation, and suppression management.
• Regularly report on email performance, analyzing what is effective, what is not, and the adjustments being made based on data insights.
• Provide insights on performance, offering a perspective that goes beyond simple metrics, such as 'the open rate was 28%,' to include analysis on subject line effectiveness and future testing plans.
• 2-4 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or a similar role where writing was a key responsibility.
• Practical experience with an ESP or marketing automation platform (Iterable, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Braze, or similar).
• Proven understanding of lifecycle email programs, including welcome series, post-purchase flows, re-engagement, and cart abandonment strategies.
• Familiarity with email performance metrics such as open rate, CTR, unsubscribe rate, and deliverability indicators, along with the ability to extract insights from them.
• Excellent written communication skills that convey clarity and personality, avoiding typical marketing jargon.
• Experience writing for a consumer audience is highly advantageous; a B2C or DTC background is preferred over B2B or enterprise experience.
