ELL Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver targeted course content in a virtual setting

• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning journey

• Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction according to student mastery levels

• Facilitate both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities

• Enhance course materials using sanctioned online tools and protocols

• Maintain the grade book while upholding student academic integrity

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion

• Monitor student progress utilizing Stride K12’s learning management system

• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments

• Establish and sustain a positive relationship with families

• Communicate with and respond to students, parents, and learning coaches promptly

• Assist parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues

• Travel as necessary for professional development, student assessments, and school events

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• Active state teaching license

• Florida ESOL and Reading Endorsements

• Residency in Florida

• Ability to pass required background checks

• Capacity to work independently, generally 40+ hours per week

• Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during work hours

• Preferred experience with the designated age group

• Preferred experience in assisting adults and children with technology

• Preferred experience teaching in an online or traditional classroom setting

• Preferred familiarity with online learning platforms

• Ability to interpret and generate numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data

• Capability to utilize student data to inform instructional decisions

• Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms

• Capacity to maintain teacher certification and fulfill professional development requirements

• Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
