This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Provide engaging and comprehensive synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for elementary students.
• Tailor learning and differentiate instruction based on each student's level of mastery.
• Enhance course content by utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools with guidance from the principal and coach.
• Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Notify administrators of any concerns related to student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate with and respond promptly to students and learning coaches/parents.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with teachers to analyze and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data for instructional decisions.
• Travel as necessary for professional development, student assessments, and school events.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active state teaching license.
• Missouri Elementary PE Teaching Certification, or an appropriate elementary certification from another state with the capability to obtain Missouri licensure within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Must reside in Missouri; candidates from surrounding states may be considered.
• Ability to work independently, typically over 40 hours per week.
• Capability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during work hours.
• Experience with the targeted age group is preferred.
• Preferred experience in supporting both adults and children with technology.
• Preferred experience in teaching in online/virtual and/or brick-and-mortar settings.
• Preferred experience with online learning platforms.
• Ability to analyze and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.
• Ability to receive regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to ensure outstanding student outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Capability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
