Elementary School Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver designated K-5 course content within an online setting

• Provide engaging and enriching synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences

• Tailor learning and differentiate instruction according to student mastery

• Enhance course content utilizing approved synchronous and asynchronous tools

• Maintain the grade book and uphold academic integrity among students

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion

• Notify administrators of any concerns related to student performance and progress

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments

• Build and sustain positive relationships with families

• Communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting

• Monitor student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system

• Travel as needed, approximately once a month and/or 20% of the time, for professional development, student assessments, and school events

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• Active teaching license from the state of Colorado

• Colorado State Department of Education Elementary Teaching Certification

• Capability to pass the required background check

• Ability to work independently, generally 40+ hours per week

• Maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during working hours, typically from 9-5 or 8-4

• Collaborate with teachers to analyze and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data for instructional purposes

• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers

• Willingness to adapt to change to achieve excellent student outcomes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms

• Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum

• Capability to pass a required background check

• Experience with the targeted age group, teaching in online or brick-and-mortar settings, online learning platforms, and assisting adults and children with technology is preferred
