This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Provide support to at-risk students to achieve their academic objectives and enhance their growth.
• Modify and tailor the K12 curriculum to comply with state content standards while addressing individual student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers through personalized and small-group sessions.
• Educate parents on effective instructional strategies.
• Implement the RTI instructional framework to boost student achievement.
• Oversee data gathering and progress monitoring at every tier of the RTI system.
• Utilize student data to assist teachers in planning both whole- and small-group instruction.
• Guide teachers in identifying and grouping students who require additional support.
• Collect and manage RTI data, including lists of eligible students and intervention strategies.
• Act as a daily RTI resource for school administrators, leadership teams, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and monitor Tier 2 interventions with teachers, advisors, counselors, and district personnel.
• Train and assist school and district staff on RTI and data collection methodologies.
• Support teachers in documenting student progress effectively.
• Collaborate with the special education team to facilitate eligibility determinations for special education services.
• Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student assessments, and school-related obligations.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Active state teaching license.
• Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification.
• Must be a resident of Michigan.
• Ability to pass a required background check.
• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during work hours.
• Capability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.
• Proficiency in using student data to inform instructional decisions.
• Openness to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to ensure outstanding student outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Capacity to maintain teacher certification and fulfill professional development requirements.
• Familiarity with K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
• Experience with the specified age group.
• Experience in supporting adults and children in utilizing technology.
• Experience in teaching online/virtual or in traditional brick-and-mortar settings.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms.
• Base salary approximately $47,000.
