This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.
• Evaluate new electrical installations and analyze plans, designs, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and related documentation.
• Issue, pull, acquire, and administer electrical permits across various states, cities, municipalities, and reciprocal states.
• Educate stakeholders while upholding NEC, state electrical laws, regulations, and NFPA70e standards.
• Perform site visits, checklist assessments, JSO processes, electrical safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Serve as the qualification agent for medium/high- and low-voltage electrical systems, which include generators, EV chargers, loadbank testing, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells.
• Oversee technician trainee cards, electrical work hours, renewal obligations, and continuing education submissions.
• Keep compliance records and document completed inspections within Cummins operations systems.
• Foster relationships with state, city, local municipality, and Department of Industrial Relations agencies.
• Coordinate permitting and compliance with PEM/PM/Data Center and Start & Test teams.
• Engage in electrical safety meetings, toolbox talks, safety programs, and both virtual and in-person meetings.
• Enhance customer experience, drive process improvements, organize files, and facilitate communication with customers, employees, and Washington Labor & Industries Organization.
• Complete performance management and individual development activities; embody Cummins values and leadership behaviors.
• Travel extensively within the home state and reciprocal states; undertake additional duties as required.
• A college, university, or equivalent degree is required.
• A minimum of intermediate level relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, is necessary.
• A current Master Electrician license, equivalent master license, or other required electrical licenses for the home state and reciprocal states must be maintained.
• Required electrical work hours and continuing education credits must be upheld.
• Must hold or be willing to apply for reciprocity electrical licenses in applicable states.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA70e codes, as well as state electrical laws, regulations, and permitting requirements, is essential.
• Experience or capability with medium/high- and low-voltage power systems, including generator installations and service, EV charger installations and service, loadbank testing, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells, is required.
• Ability to conduct site visits, safety audits, JSO activities, inspections, and compliance reviews is necessary.
• Capability to review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and qualification documentation is required.
• Ability to monitor technician trainee cards, work hours, and compliance with continuing education is important.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, customer focus, business insight, and the ability to manage complexity are essential.
• Willingness to attend required virtual and in-person meetings and travel approximately 75–90% or more is necessary.
• This position may require licensing to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.
