Early Childhood Mathematics Assessment Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, assess, and ensure quality assurance for Mathematics assessment items that adhere to approved item and test specifications.

• Assist in the creation and enhancement of item specifications, scoring rubrics, scoring guides, and assessment frameworks.

• Analyze and apply state educational standards and content requirements to guarantee valid and reliable assessment alignment.

• Review and interpret disaggregated student performance data to guide content decisions and learning standards frameworks.

• Collaborate with item writers, consultants, editors, psychometricians, program managers, and clients throughout the assessment development process.

• Ensure mathematical accuracy, developmental suitability, and cultural relevance of all assessment materials.

• Offer sound content-based advice to clients regarding K-2 products.

• Travel for 1–8 weeks annually, typically for 2–5 days at a time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

• A minimum of five to eight (5-8) years of experience in developing, reviewing, or supporting statewide or national educational assessments.

• At least four (4) years of experience in K–2 elementary education, particularly in early-childhood mathematics.

• Comprehensive knowledge of foundational learning progressions.

• Proven experience in aligning instructional or assessment content with state standards and specific market or program requirements.

• Strong data skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to identify challenges and conceptualize effective solutions.

• Competence in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

• Capacity to provide sound content-based guidance to clients regarding K-2 products.

• Proficient in collaboration.

• Willingness to travel for 1–8 weeks annually, typically for 2–5 days at a time.

• Must reside and work within the USA.
