District Manager – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and continually enhance the capabilities of the Oncology Medical Representative team.

• Establish individual and team KPIs, and track performance through regular joint visits and structured assessments.

• Identify training requirements and create tailored development plans.

• Design and execute the district business plan in accordance with the national brand strategy and oncology portfolio priorities.

• Discover growth opportunities within key accounts — oncology/hematology hospital departments, radiotherapy centers, and outpatient clinics.

• Analyze market data and adjust promotional strategies as necessary.

• Manage the district operational budget with responsibility and transparency.

• Establish and sustain strategic relationships with oncologists, hematologists, and other healthcare professionals in the area.

• Coordinate medical and commercial initiatives across reference hospitals and oncology centers.

• Collaborate with the Medical team to organize symposia, clinical data presentations, and educational events.

• Ensure complete compliance with Lilly's internal policies, Code of Conduct, and relevant local and European pharmaceutical regulations.

• Supervise team promotional activities to ensure compliance with approved materials and advertising legislation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher.

• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including a minimum of 2 years in oncology or related fields.

• In-depth knowledge of the Romanian hospital landscape and oncology ecosystem.

• Comprehensive understanding of oncology, including cancer types, mechanisms of action, treatment modalities, and ESMO/NCCN guidelines.

• Strong analytical abilities to interpret sales data, market indicators, and business performance.

• Experience with CRM systems; proficiency in digital and omnichannel strategies.

• Authentic leadership skills, capable of motivating, inspiring, and developing high-performing teams.

• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset.

• Native Romanian speaker; advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

• Valid category B driving license; willingness to travel extensively (approximately 90% field-based).
