This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in effective communication with WM Drivers to facilitate problem-solving while they are on their routes.
• Manage incoming service requests and provide guidance to drivers.
• Address and resolve issues related to residential, commercial, and roll-off services.
• Collaborate with WM customer service, sales representatives, Route Managers, mechanics, and other operational personnel.
• Utilize WM's proprietary software to oversee same-day ticket routing.
• Prepare routes in advance for the following day.
• Assign drivers to calls based on customer requirements, driver locations, loads, and various daily considerations.
• Enhance routes in coordination with the service department and sites.
• Determine the staffing levels for drivers on a daily basis.
• Allocate routes and service tickets to the appropriate drivers.
• Supervise route activities and ensure completion of routes.
• Handle incoming communications via calls and emails from customer service and sales teams.
• Manage requests for container pickups and deliveries within the market area.
• Communicate with customers while drivers are on-site to address service delays.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure that same-day service is provided for missed pickups by efficiently managing routing and tracking driver movements.
• May require travel of up to 15% to collaborate face-to-face with responsible site dispatchers.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 6 months of relevant work experience.
• Experience in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively across various departments.
• Capacity to multitask in a dynamic work setting.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Prior experience in dispatch, routing, or route optimization is required.
• Preferred proficiency in communication and computer skills.
• Flexibility in working hours is essential.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, with hours from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. CST.
• Potential availability for overtime and Saturday shifts based on dispatch center requirements.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if necessary for air travel or access to federal properties.
