This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist Reddit’s Engineering Organization by collaborating with Engineering leadership to offer financial modeling support for crucial business decisions, including resource prioritization and investment strategies to maximize ROI. Cultivate a deep understanding of Engineering-related challenges and priorities, aligning them with long-term forecasts.
• Exhibit Strong Thought Leadership by leveraging insights from industry expertise and business acumen to influence business leadership and drive outcomes. Demonstrate a passion for refining existing processes and collaborating across teams to achieve results.
• Manage engineering Profit and Loss statements by overseeing financial forecasts, annual operating plans, budget tracking, and long-range planning while working alongside various stakeholders. Establish and communicate financial targets quarterly and annually; identify and report on risk and opportunity levels associated with the overall financial plan; provide actionable insights, such as productivity analysis, ROI assessment, contractor spend optimization, and capital expenditure management.
• Execute Cloud Reporting by collaborating closely with our team to monitor and report KPIs against our primary Cloud Hosting agreements. Continually optimize costs by coordinating with engineers to balance workloads across our dual cloud environment. Lead strategic projects in partnership with program management and engineering leaders to enhance efficiencies and ensure accountability for promised returns.
• Oversee Communications and Presentations, providing strategic input for business decisions by managing the development of intricate financial models that encompass assumptions, expectations, and known risks; prepare presentations and supporting materials for recommendations.
• Foster Talent and Leadership by formulating and implementing strategies to attract and retain a highly skilled and engaged workforce through capability gap analysis; recruiting, selecting, and developing top talent.
• A BA/BS degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline (MBA, CPA is not mandatory but strongly preferred).
• Over 13 years of experience in FP&A, including at least 2 years supporting cloud infrastructure and cloud cost analysis, and a minimum of 5 years in people management (this role will actively manage a small but highly efficient team).
• Proficient experience with AWS or GCP cloud products is essential.
• Required experience in investment banking or consulting.
• Experience working with Engineering is a plus.
• Strong comprehension of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and margin drivers.
• Proven experience in leading planning and forecasting processes, managing large data sets and complex models, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint presentations, and deck creation.
• A strategic thinker who exhibits leadership, vision, and insight.
• A hands-on manager with a solid finance background.
• Strong work ethic, urgency, and the ability to learn and deliver results under tight timelines.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with stakeholders across the organization and advancing projects.
