Director, Software Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead a team of software and quality engineers.

• Collaborate closely with global software development and architecture leaders to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.

• Enhance the healthcare experience for patients, healthcare providers, and payers by streamlining processes.

• Supervise all phases of Availity's agile software development life cycle, including analysis, design, programming, debugging, quality assurance, and modifications of computer programs.

• Develop and implement procedures that yield high-quality software products and services.

• Mentor and support the professional and technical growth of engineers on your team.

• Work with product managers to grasp desired application functionalities and testing scenarios.

• Spearhead initiatives to deploy both new and existing applications within AWS environments.

• Oversee project timelines, assign tasks, and manage resource allocation.

• Recognize opportunities for new projects and processes, then plan, collaborate, and execute successfully.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field of study.

• 8-10+ years of experience in delivering software products.

• 5-8+ years of experience in team management and relationship building across various organizational levels.

• Experience leading teams with more than 20 members.

• 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise software products hosted in a public cloud, preferably AWS.

• Proven ability to launch and complete multiple projects on schedule.

• Experience in designing complex software systems.

• Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external clients/vendors.

• Experience in driving and managing organizational change.

• Proficient understanding of Java, .NET, HTML, XML, and databases.

• Experience in cross-functional and global teamwork.
