Director, Security Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute a thorough security engineering roadmap.

• Supervise the design, evaluation, and execution of security architecture across network, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of security architects and engineers.

• Identify security vulnerabilities and the need for security tools.

• Perform threat modeling and manage vulnerability assessments.

• Collaborate with IT, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams.

• Foster relationships with all staff to advocate for “Security by Design” within the Engineering Teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• 12+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale organizations and security programs.

• Expert-level knowledge in multiple security domains within Enterprise and Cloud Infrastructures.

• Advanced experience in managing extensive cross-functional programs.

• Experience in guiding senior staff and collaborating with external team members.

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, AWS Security, GCP Security).
