This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Supervise and direct the lending compliance program for the credit union.
• Develop and implement risk-based compliance programs, assessments, and strategies to improve the CU's Compliance Management System (CMS).
• Ensure that corporate initiatives and departmental procedures adhere to relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
• Lead a team of compliance experts by identifying and mitigating potential risks, generating insights, and representing the CU during examinations and audits.
• Offer training and support to staff regarding lending regulations, guidance, and best practices.
• Perform risk assessments and evaluations of the CU's offerings, applicable rules, and regulations to pinpoint potential risks and opportunities for enhancement.
• Work collaboratively with management teams to develop products, services, and processes while evaluating and integrating compliance controls.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of experience in mortgage or consumer compliance within a financial institution is required, demonstrating the capability to develop and implement compliance programs.
• At least three years of supervisory experience is necessary.
• An MBA and/or CRCM, CUCE, or similar professional certification is preferred.
