Director of Finance – Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and develop the complete donation processing infrastructure, encompassing essential fundraising avenues.

• Oversee and enhance the donation platform ecosystem, ensuring that payment processing, pledge management, recurring gift handling, and payroll deduction operations are dependable and scalable.

• Establish reconciliation processes that guarantee the accuracy and consistency of donation records, payment receipts, and CRM data across all platforms.

• Become the internal authority on EFTC compliance requirements for EducationSuperHighway.

• Develop and manage the documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting systems necessary to demonstrate adherence to EFTC regulations.

• Create processes for donor acknowledgment and tax documentation.

• Take ownership of the financial flows from donated funds to scholarship distributions.

• Generate financial reporting on the utilization of scholarship funds.

• Develop and maintain financial dashboards that offer real-time insights into donation volumes, revenue by fundraising track, and compliance status.

• Supervise the annual audit process related to donation operations and scholarship funds.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in non-profit finance, donation operations, financial management, or a similar operational finance role.

• Proven experience in establishing financial operations, controls, and compliance frameworks, rather than merely managing existing systems.

• Strong grasp of nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and donor acknowledgment requirements.

• Familiarity with donation processing platforms, payment systems, and financial reconciliation processes.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy, as this position carries significant compliance and legal responsibilities.

• Ability to thrive in an early-stage environment where systems, processes, and policies need to be developed from the ground up.
