This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The Director of Field Decommission is tasked with driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency for the field decommission product line by collaborating with senior staff, general managers, field decommission managers, and sales teams.
• Collaborate with senior staff, general managers, field decommission managers, and sales personnel to ensure alignment of strategy, execution, and growth initiatives across various territories.
• Standardize procedures and uphold consistent workflows and best practices across field decommission operations.
• Coordinate and schedule labor across factories to enhance project execution and resource efficiency.
• Develop, mentor, and train field decommission managers while supporting recruitment and employee development initiatives.
• Supervise project scheduling, estimating, logistics planning, and site surveys to ensure safe, effective, and profitable project delivery.
• Optimize margins based on market conditions in each territory while aiding in precise estimating and commercial decision-making.
• Assist in business development efforts, including market expansion and proactive management of the sales pipeline and backlog.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes while reporting against monthly financial targets, KPIs, and backlog performance.
• Oversee activities related to metal and oil commodity sales as part of the field decommission business strategy.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and all relevant regulatory and environmental standards.
• Foster strong customer relationships through prompt service, clear communication, and effective issue resolution.
• Travel extensively to support operations, engage with customers, oversee site activities, and meet business growth requirements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a closely related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in transformer field decommission sales and operations, or a closely related field is necessary.
• Proven experience with P&L accountability, budgeting, forecasting, planning, and performance reporting.
• Experience in project scheduling, estimating, logistics planning, and conducting job site surveys.
• A background in leading business development initiatives and managing pipeline/backlog performance is essential.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong understanding of transformer field decommission operations along with related sales and operational practices.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and applicable environmental and regulatory standards.
