This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Lead the engineering team responsible for implementing TwelveLabs technology in customer and partner environments while integrating it into current technology ecosystems.
• Take ownership of the engineering strategy and execution for deployments across hyperscalers, private cloud, on-premise, and intricate enterprise environments.
• Manage the engineering lifecycle for customer and partner deployments from technical discovery and architecture through to implementation, production launch, and ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with customers, partners, Engineering, Go to Market, Product, Research, ML, Security, Infrastructure, Solutions Engineering, and Sales teams.
• Set technical standards, tooling, playbooks, automation, and internal platforms to ensure predictable and repeatable deployments and integrations.
• Develop scalable integration patterns across enterprise applications, data platforms, storage systems, identity and access management, APIs, and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Implement CI/CD, release management, configuration management, observability, and developer experience practices.
• Transform recurring customer deployment and integration needs into reusable product and platform capabilities.
• Define deployment and integration architecture, technical roadmaps, interfaces, and execution plans.
• Address security, compliance, data isolation, identity, access control, encryption, auditability, and regulated-environment requirements.
• Act as a senior technical partner on complex customer opportunities and convey technical trade-offs to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Build, lead, recruit, develop, and retain a top-tier Deployment & Integrations Engineering team.
• Create operational mechanisms that ensure reliability, customer satisfaction, technical excellence, urgency, and disciplined execution.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed systems.
• Extensive experience leading globally distributed engineering teams.
• Proven track record in guiding engineering organizations responsible for deploying complex software, AI/ML systems, or infrastructure into enterprise customer environments.
• Profound technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, networking, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
• Proficient in Kubernetes, container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployment systems.
• Experience deploying software across various cloud environments and/or customer-controlled infrastructure, including air-gapped, disconnected, regulated, or highly secure settings.
• Practical experience managing the software deployment lifecycle from start to finish, including versioning, release management, rollout and rollback strategies, upgrade paths, and post-deployment operations.
• Extensive familiarity with software packaging patterns, such as container images, Helm charts, operator patterns, installer and bootstrap flows, air-gapped bundles, and dependency and configuration management.
• Demonstrated ability to convert custom customer implementations into scalable and repeatable engineering systems.
• Strong customer-facing instincts and the capability to engage credibly with senior engineers, architects, security teams, and technical executives at large organizations.
• Proactive approach and readiness to delve into technical details.
• Excellent judgment in balancing unique strategic customer solutions with scalable platform capabilities.
• Experience working in a high-growth startup environment.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams.
• Strong candidates may also possess experience deploying AI/ML or GPU-intensive workloads, serving highly regulated customers, standardizing enterprise deployment platforms, or leading Solutions Engineering, Field Engineering, Deployment Engineering, or Professional Services Engineering teams.
