📋 Description

• Manage a national accounts portfolio comprising prominent agency groups, cluster organizations, and wholesale/retail brokers, with direct responsibility for achieving production and growth objectives.

• Formulate and implement account-specific strategies aimed at generating new business volume, enhancing line penetration, and solidifying Swyfft's status as a preferred carrier partner.

• Negotiate and oversee override commission structures, profit-sharing agreements, and performance incentive contracts in collaboration with underwriting and finance teams.

• Identify and cultivate new national account relationships that align with Swyfft's operational footprint and appetite across our service areas, concentrating on markets where our product offerings are optimally suited and poised for growth.

• Collaborate with territory managers and regional distribution teams to transform national relationships into local production opportunities.

• Represent Swyfft at significant industry events and other regional and specialty insurance conferences to broaden our network and promote our offerings.

• Serve as the internal advocate for our distribution partners by relaying market intelligence, appetite insights, and competitive positioning information to our underwriting, product, and pricing teams.

• Maintain a comprehensive overview of production performance across the national account portfolio by carrier, state, and line of business. Provide regular analysis and reports to the SVP, Sales & Marketing regarding pipeline activity, GWP trends, account health, and competitive landscape.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of prior experience in a national account or strategic partnership capacity within an insurance distribution, wholesale brokerage, MGA/MGU, or carrier distribution organization.

• Proven history of developing and managing extensive agency or broker relationships with quantifiable production outcomes.

• Knowledge of homeowners, commercial property, and/or flood insurance, ideally with practical experience in specialty or hard-to-place property lines.

• Background in working within an MGA or program business framework.

• Outstanding relationship-building capabilities with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization, from C-suite executives to regional production teams.

• Strong business acumen with the aptitude to structure deals, negotiate terms, and finalize complex distribution agreements.

• Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret and generate production reports, identify trends, and construct a solid business case for investments or strategic changes.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are both clear and persuasive.
