📋 Description

• Develop and implement a proactive media strategy.

• Create and execute a consistent, forward-thinking media plan that aligns with company objectives.

• Recognize news opportunities, trends, and narrative angles that establish the company as a leader in its field.

• Ensure a consistent flow of high-quality media coverage across national, local, and trade publications.

• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and producers.

• Actively pitch stories, coordinate briefings, and manage ongoing media interactions.

• Supervise external PR firms to guarantee alignment with strategy, messaging, and priorities.

• Collaborate across departments to identify compelling narratives, including clinical data, innovation, patient impact, and company milestones.

• Compose and refine media pitches, statements, briefing materials, and press releases as necessary.

• Identify and manage relationships with external stakeholders who can enhance media stories.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience in communications and media relations.

• Experience in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with strong skills in PowerPoint/Google Slides.

• Excellent writing and storytelling abilities, with substantial experience in drafting press materials and media pitches.

• Experience managing external PR agencies and achieving results through partnerships.

• Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with reporters and navigate complex, technical subject matter.

• Highly organized, proactive, and adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Capability to work independently and execute tasks with minimal supervision.

• Possess executive presence and an entrepreneurial mindset.
