Director, Engineering – SPIE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the processes that transform customer-impacting events into significant engineering and business insights.

• Enhance Splunk's approach to incident response, ensuring lessons are learned and customer escalations are effectively managed.

• Foster accountability for recurring issues across engineering, support, field, and business teams.

• Work alongside engineering leaders focused on developer observability.

• Advocate for resilience while guaranteeing an exceptional customer experience with our products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience or a Master's degree with 12 years of relevant experience.

• More than 10 years of experience in incident management, problem management, critical issue management, technical support, customer operations, engineering operations, or similar roles.

• At least 4 years of supervisory experience, including managing managers and leading a large engineering-focused organization.

• Demonstrated experience in leading incident response functions that impact customers.

• Strong knowledge of Splunk and industry observability concepts and tools.
