This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Overseeing multiple significant construction accounts within the designated region.
• Tailoring Zurich's Innovative Solutions for the Construction Industry to reduce customer losses and enhance Sustainability & Business Resiliency at the corporate level.
• Utilizing Zurich’s risk engineering tools and services to enhance customer risk management and general account oversight for clients purchasing Zurich Construction Insurance products.
• Providing exceptional construction consultative services to clients.
• Identifying risks and program control deficiencies to establish a foundation for risk mitigation recommendations.
• Analyzing the causes and effects of major losses for hazard and safety management programs.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and business partners.
• Marketing and offering a diverse array of fee services to clients.
• Creating advanced presentations and delivering risk management training to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Offering relevant risk improvement advice, conducting loss investigations, and implementing risk enhancement programs.
• Supporting clients in developing corporate and project-specific QA/QC plans, safety initiatives, and investigating construction defects when necessary.
• Engaging in Sales Team meetings and presentations to brokers and clients while contributing to fee income sales through opportunity identification and cross-selling.
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in Construction Risk Engineering, Safety/Risk Management, or Construction Field Operations, OR a High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience, OR a Zurich Certified Apprentice with an Associate's degree and at least 6 years of experience in the same fields.
• A degree in Engineering, Health and Safety, Risk Management, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in Construction Corporate Safety, Project Management, and/or as a Superintendent at a mid to senior level is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of construction safety, operations, quality management, and related risks and exposures is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, ARM, or CHST are preferred.
• High proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and iOS platforms, is preferred.
• Strong technical writing skills to produce work products for customers and internal business partners are preferred.
• Experience working in both independent and collaborative team settings is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively and professionally at both corporate and project site levels, are preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and participation in extracurricular activities, organizations, community service, or similar engagements are preferred.
