This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the data science strategy for the organization, focusing on core statistical modeling, experimentation forecasting, segmentation, and applied AI that delivers tangible business value.
• Guide, mentor, and actively participate with a small team of data scientists by writing code and reviewing methodologies, rather than just creating roadmaps.
• Supervise the development of resilient, production-quality solutions using essential cloud systems, vector databases, and agentic workflows.
• Advocate for the implementation and ongoing enhancement of AI development tools within technical teams.
• Expand MLOps/LLMOPs practices to ensure data observability, governance, model safety, and compliance with ethical AI standards.
• Work collaboratively across departments including Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Development, and Product teams to foster technical innovation, prioritize projects, deliver MVPs quickly, and iterate based on usage data.
• Design and conduct rigorous experiments to validate hypotheses and inform business decisions.
• Convert statistical and technical work into business-friendly language for executive stakeholders and advocate for future data science investments.
• Establish success metrics for internal tools and AI initiatives, monitoring adoption, usage, and business impact over time.
• Document tools, processes, and best practices to enhance impact beyond individual projects.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, viral content, and emerging platforms to uncover new opportunities.
• Over 7 years of experience in data science, including leadership or management of a technical team.
• Solid foundation in core data science principles.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, Vertex AI, and the creation/deployment of production models within a GCP framework.
• Skillful in deploying custom Gemini Enterprise Agents using Agent Engine.
• Proficient with AI tools like Claude, CoPilot, and ChatGPT.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL, along with experience in applied AI.
